Celebrating Manda by Encouraging Young Mothers Uncertain of Tomorrow
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith."
-2 Timothy 4:7 (NIV)
Manda Strong Foundation
Helping Moms Make Memories
We founded the Manda Strong Foundation to celebrate Manda's choices of faith over fear and family over circumstance. We come alongside women in Collin and Grayson County Texas, fighting cancer, with children at home to help make those memories. So, whether you need Christmas memories in August, help making an unforgettable vacation happen, or just time with your family, we've got you.
Manda's
Legacy
We saw firsthand how Manda prioritized making memories. Manda's hope was the memories would be welcome joy when looking back on a hard time. And she knew that in the worst case, her husband and kids would have precious memories to carry through their whole life.
It took a core group of dedicated friends and family to help make those memories. And we know not everyone has that network.
Manda's Journey of
Faith Over Fear
Manda Maxwell is the reason behind the Manda Strong Foundation.
Manda first had cancer at the age of five and was in remission until it resurfaced again at age 28. Manda made the brave choice to have one of her legs amputated and continued chemotherapy for the next year in order to completely eradicate the cancer from her body. Five years later, the cancer returned for the third time. Manda fought the disease with all her might and a strength that could only come from God.
At 35, Manda, beloved wife and mother of two, passed away on February 26, 2017, in Dallas, Texas, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
